Does anyone have any suggestions on solving a seriously scary weather helm problem. here is the situation: Equipment: 123% ProFurl Genoa and 195 FT main (new), three blade fixed prop and modified rudder (I think in consultation with designer). Mast is raked aft slightly (advice from others).
Conditions: 10-15 mph breeze with gusts and very slight chop, wind off the bow on a tight beat to weather and the finish line. Boat is sailing well and fast and we get a gust. Boat starts heading up, I steer to leeward, she continues to head up. The wheel is locked and we are out of control. Free the main sheet in time and she might recover. Otherwise ease the jib - fast!
One race it happened so fast that before I could ease either sail, the jib backed and we did a 180. Almost took out two boats, the one I had been passing like a freight train and another coming up blind on my port quarter. This past Wednesday it was a Morgan 41 OI on the port quarter.

Where can one find hardware for a N33? Specifically I am looking for snap shackle kits or new and new spreaders. Thank you. Bob Brant, 907-235-8400 x 12 or fax 907-235-8731 or email b_brant@hotmail.com
