We have an fine old 1968 phase I whose home-made wood rubrail has given up the gost. The lip onto which the rubrail must be fastened tapers, becoming thicker outboard. The vinyl rubrail material, with hard-plastic insert (From Taco) seems the way to go, but inserts that we can find on the market do not fit our tapered lip. We tried the vinyl rubrail without the insert and it has a "wavy" look to it like it might fall off in the next big wave. Tacky! Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Any sources of rubrail material for old early Mull-hulls?
