1. Rake mast forward by shortening forestay. Move CE forward. 2. When racing make sure mainsheet trimmer is ready to lower traveler. As a matter of fact, we usually race Amanda with the traveler lowered 6 inches or so. Some backwinding in the top of the main occurs, but doesn't seem to affect boat speed. We seldom reef unless things are really wild. Lowering the traveler seems to work. 3. Impractical solution: convert to tiller. Much quicker reaction time; and you know for sure where the rudder is.

I have a 1986 Newport and I was wondering if anyone has ever changed the faucet in the galley. It does not look easy. I would appreciate any thoughts. Larry Lowy
