Newport 30 Keels, Newport 33's

I am wondering if anyone down there owns a boat with the shoal draft wing keel. I have been looking for one for some time, and see nothing but fin keels. Can anyone tell me if they've had any experience with the wings? Should I hold out for one, or is the performance inferior? Also, do the 33's share the same quality as the 30's? Anybody out there have any experience with Newport 30's and toerail leaks (or possibly deck/hull leaks) and know how extensive a repair project this is? Thanks, R
