That's funny. I bought a 1982 III sold as a II. The differences as far as I know are mainly cosmetic. However, the II is a Gary Mull designed boat. The III is a company reworking of the original design. They added, I think a flyleaf table to the III and changed the shape of the portholes. There are probably some other changes that I don't know off the top of my head. Bottom line, however, II's supposedly have a higher resale value because they are the original Gary Mull design. FYI, both '81 and '82 were lousy years for fiberglass quality. Look out for blisters.
