My 1982 is a N 30-III. There are minor differences in the hull, primarily in tyhe pointedness of the cutwater. Keel and rudder are different shapes and foil sections. Hull to deck flange turns out on III's and in on II's makeing the III's seem wider on the spec sheet but not inside space nor actual hull width. Overall the II's are better boats. I echo the sentiment about 82's being bad for blisters. I had thousands of small blisters that cumulatively added up to almost 1/2 the bottom area. Just put her back inthe water so don't know how well the repairs will hold up after a full peel and 14 months of drying time. Based on the voids that I could see in the laminate after peeling off the gelcoat, I'm betting that I will have warranty claims on my 5 year warranty.
