New Owner - Sailing?

In October 2000 I purchased a Newport 30 which is lying in Puerto Escondido, Loreto, Baja California. She is in good condition with a universal diesel and a lot of sails. I was unable to be on board with the former owner so, have been learning her on my own each time I go down. I am sure I could learn a lot about my new boat by going for a sail on a sistership. If someone would be willing to let me crew some day. I would be happy to bring lunch or buy dinner afterwards

Also, I wonder if anyone knows anything about the boat.I believe she was known as Evenstar in the Bay Area before she left for Baja in around 87. She is a 1968, hull# 11, sail# 17770.
